BLUE MOUNTAIN CLUB
Hike # 31 : Holywell - Gordon Town

8 October 2011

Shanica, O'Davia, Paul

Exploring Holywell, along with the UTECH CSP students, before we set off...

More in Holywell...

After walking through the coffee trees, and tasting peppery nasturtium leaves, we have to fight through some overgrowth... but at least the path is still there, somewhere...

Taking pictures and then amongst some impressive bamboo roots...

The fallen pines still a remnant of Hurricane Ivan.

Back to the road and a short break (avoiding a turning road grader in the process) although not everyone likes ripe bananas, or anything else but bread, it seems...

At our favourite stopping spot, halfway down the river path but too much rain swelling the river and too much overgrowth on 'our' rock.

Old bridges, still standing and the weather holding up well.

More bridges as we approach Penfield, which is then just a mile from Gordon Town and then back to Papine, via a taxi, and in record time - just over three ours from Holywell!
